All beings from all communities of beings, be it spirit, plants, animals, matter, -scapes, seasons and climate who enjoy the equal status with human beings and collectively called as citizens of a the Confederation of Melanesian Tribes and Islands, shall enjoy their fundamental rights and freedoms guaranteed by this Constitution.
  2. All citizens of the Melanesian Region shall enjoy the fundamental rights and freedoms guaranteed by this Constitution, including but not limited to the rights to life, liberty, and equality before the law.
